Wade in the Water Film Screening & Community Beach Activities

Join Los Angeles County Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell’s 2nd District Racial Justice Learning Exchange for a free film screening of Wade in the Water and discussion on creating inclusive anti-racist beach spaces with film maker David Mesfin. The event also includes a resource fair and free surf lessons.
All are welcomed. Please note RSVP is required to attend due to limited capacity.
There is currently a waitlist for surf lessons. Due to limited space, you will be contacted if you are confirmed for a lesson.
Check-in begins at 9:30 am
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Film Screening
12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Free Surf Lessons & Resource Fair (MUST be a competent swimmer for surf lesson)
