Brianna Moncada is the Sustainability Manager with UCLA Housing and Maintenance, overseeing UCLA housing’s sustainability initiatives implementation efforts. Brianna has previously worked in the private and public sector implementing multifamily energy efficiency programs for the California Energy Commission, LADWP, SoCal Gas, SoCal Edison, and Los Angeles County. Her work has generated millions in electric savings that contribute to local and state sustainability goals.
Brianna became interested in the field of environmental science and sustainability after she enrolled in a class on the atmosphere. She proceeded to enroll in additional environmental science classes and eventually changed her major from Biology to Environmental Science. Brianna earned her B.A. in Environmental Science with a minor in Gender Studies from the University of California, Irvine in 2017 and her M.S. in Environmental Policy and Management with a concentration in Energy and Sustainability from the University of Denver in 2021.
During her free time, Brianna enjoys playing soccer.
