SUMMARY:Electronic Air Cleaning Technologies and the Potential for Health Effects
DESCRIPTION:The use of air cleaners with electronic technologies continues to grow in response to public health concerns such as wildfires\, the COVID-19 pandemic\, and increased asthma prevalence. \nResearchers have found that electronic air cleaners can also emit substances such as ozone\, formaldehyde\, and other air pollutants that adversely affect public health. It is crucial that we understand the potential risks associated with these devices. \nThis seminar will focus on the potential health impacts of exposure to emissions\, particularly among vulnerable sub-groups\, such as infants\, children\, and individuals with chronic lung or heart disease\, and others. The insights presented at this seminar will be vital to supporting CARB’s ongoing mission to safeguard public health from the effects of air pollution.  \nREGISTER HERE
