DESCRIPTION:  \nIt is that time of the year again when UCLA Staff Assembly partners with UCLA Life Sciences to coordinate a tour of the Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden (MEMBG) for staff and faculty. This year the event falls on Earth Day\, making it the perfect opportunity to celebrate the beautiful planet we live on. \nMEMBG is a living museum\, having special collections designed to assist the undergraduate teaching mission at UCLA and to augment the capability for research on campus.  So let’s enjoy the beautiful spring weather in Los Angeles and take a leisurely walk to explore MEMBG together.  If you want to enjoy your lunch at the gardens after\, the patio is also reserved for us from 1-2pm. \nThe Botanical Garden also offers a wide range of tours to our wider community\, from K-12 school groups to senior centers.\nSpace is extremely limited\, so please register ASAP! \n
