There are many ways to get involved in sustainability as an undergraduate student at UCLA! Check out the Green Guide for students for a lot of great resources. You can join a student organization, or volunteer with the sustainability office. Check out the Sustainability Action Research course where you can work with staff and faculty to do hands-on sustainability research on campus!

Graduate Students: There are many ways to get involved in sustainability as a graduate or professional student at UCLA! One of the best ways to get involved is to join the Leaders in Sustainability Certificate Program. This groundbreaking interdisciplinary program brings together graduate student from over 25 different departments. The program is designed to supplement and fit within your program and provides a way to collaborate across disciplines. Information about how to apply can be found here. Consider doing a class project or even your masters thesis or applied project on sustainability- UCLA Sustainability has served as a client for many graduate projects, and there are also lots of great businesses and organizations that can serve as clients for these types of projects.

We also need student representation on sustainability related committees and taskforces. If you are interested in serving, contact the sustainability office at Sustainability in the UC system began with students, working with staff and faculty to create what is now the UC Sustainable Practices Policy. You can make lasting change on this campus and in the community  as a student!
