Erin Leonard is Global Sustainability Manager in Supply Chain Governance, Reporting, and Compliance at Mattel. She leads the company’s sustainability programs and is responsible for developing and implementing business and environmental goals and objectives. Erin oversees all aspects of sustainability for Mattel with a particular focus on operations and supply chain, to mitigate impacts from Mattel’s operations, products, and packaging. In December 2019, Mattel announced a goal to achieve 100% recycled, recyclable or bio-based plastics materials in both its products and packaging by 2030, one of the most aggressive corporate goals focused on both products and packaging in the industry.

Erin Leonard

With over 12 years of experience in the environmental field Erin is an expert in corporate sustainability policy and strategic development. Prior to working for Mattel, Erin spent 10 years at the Walt Disney Company in the Corporate Citizenship Environment and Conservation, Integrated Supply Chain Management, and Disney Consumer Products Corporate Citizenship departments.

Erin holds a B.A. in Environmental and Legal Studies from Brandeis University, and a Master’s of Environmental Science and Management from the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
