Getting Around

Transportation is a large part of our everyday environmental footprint, especially in car-centric L.A. Luckily, there are many environmentally conscious ways to get to class and to navigate our fair city.

Getting to Campus

UCLA Transportation provides many ways to get to campus besides driving by yourself:

  • Carpool Matching:  Get matched with someone in your area to carpool with! Check out the matching system.
  • UCLA Vanpool: Have a long commute to campus?  Consider the vanpool program
  • Go Metro Tap Passes: Riding metro has never been easier.  The tap passes are easy to use and can save you $100s a year in monthly pass expenses. Check out the FAQ.
  • Reduced Bus Rates: Aside from the GoMetro program, student's also get discounts on the Big Blue Bus.  Show your Student ID!
  • Walk, Bike, or Skate: SoCal has great weather.  Walking is good for you!

Take the Stairs

Elevators use a lot of energy.  Take the stairs.  If climbing up a few flights doesn't apeal to you... then just take them on the way down!
