For 101 ways to make your life more Earth-friendly, stop by the Earth Day Fair in Bruin and De Neve Plazas! Drop in on informative workshops, listen to live music, and chat with members of student groups that are working to make UCLA greener.

11 am - 2 pm Bruin Plaza
From 11am-2pm, E3: Ecology, Economy, Equity and ESLP (the Education for Sustainable Living Program) will host a fair in Bruin Plaza. Student groups will have informational tables set up to educate students about ways to get involved with sustainability on campus, and local companies including Tom’s Shoes, Arbor Sports, and Native Foods will be represented. Students will sell “cups of dirt” (dessert creations containing crushed Oreo cookies and gummy worms) for a small donation. Proceeds will benefit an environmental non-profit organization. Additionally, ASUCLA will offer a discount on all of its environmentally friendly products at the UCLA Store. Students will have the opportunity to win eco-friendly prizes.
4 - 7 pm De Neve Plaza
From 4-7pm, SWC EARTH (Student Welfare Commission Environmental Awareness, Recycling, and Terrestrial Health) will host an interactive fair in DeNeve Plaza. SUN (The Sustainable Urban Network), RAN (Rainforest Action Network), E3, ESLP, and the ORL (Office of Residential Life) Sustainability Theme floor will be represented at the fair and will lead various activities including flower potting/pot decorating, worm bin composting demonstrations, and a trivia wheel with prizes. Various information relating to sustainability in the dorms, composting, gardening, recycling, fossil fuel dependence, etc. will also be available. Music will be played.
From 5-7PM, SUN will screen the movie “The Future of Food” and serve organic pizza and tea in De Neve Plaza Room.
